Cracked Teeth

How do teeth get cracked?

Daily habits such as clenching, grinding, chewing on hard foods make our teeth more susceptible to cracks. Cracked teeth do not always show any visible signs of damage, but may present a variety of symptoms, including inconsistent pain when you chew with them, temperature sensitivities, pain on release on biting pressure. In many cases, the pain may come and go, making it difficult for your doctor to diagnose the cause of discomfort.

A cracked tooth that is not treated in early stages will progressively worsen, resulting in the loss of the tooth. Early diagnosis and treatment is important to save these teeth. See your endodontist if you suspect that you have a cracked tooth.
